Barbara Alvarado
President
[email protected]
Barbara and her husband and twin boys moved to Dallas in Feb. of 2019 from San Diego, CA. They immediately fell in love with Oak Cliff and decided to purchase a home in Sunset Hill in March of 2020. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic she and her family have not had the opportunity to meet many neighbors which inspired Barbara to reach out to neighbors to revive the Sunset Hill Neighborhood Association. As the president she hopes to bring new life to the neighborhood by creating new programs and opportunities for neighbors to feel part of a strong community. Barbara is also a Real Estate agent and understands that value a community can bring to a neighborhood when everyone cares about their neighbor. She is excited to see what she and the board are able to bring to Sunset Hill this upcoming year.

Kaitlin Vanderslice
Secretary and Communications Committee
[email protected]
When Kaitlin and her husband Josh moved to Dallas in 2017 for work, they chose to live in Oak Cliff due to its proximity to Josh’s office. Two years later when they started looking to buy a house, they couldn’t imagine leaving Oak Cliff, and they purchased their home in Sunset Hill. Kaitlin and Josh have two dogs, Reggie and Rona (wave to them when you see them out walking!). Kaitlin is happy to be involved in the neighborhood association as Secretary and Communications chair. She is working to get the word out to all of our neighbors about the efforts to restart the neighborhood association in order to build a stronger community.
Jessica Ralat
Treasurer
Jessica and her family moved to Sunset Hill in 2011 from Brooklyn, NY, to be closer to her family in Arlington. She spends her free time doing home DIY and sewing. She loves hiking, watching movies, and playing board games with her family. She has two dogs who love to bark at anyone who rings the doorbell.
